This gas-phase reaction proceeds thermally with low yield and catalytically with high yield.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Heat exchange: the feed and product streams are passing through a heat exchanger network.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Separation: the three phases (lights, product and aqueous phase) are separated by distillation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"process-model-subtitle\">Objective<\/h2>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"page-text left\">The objective was to create a dynamic model of the entire styrene production plant based on the direct dehydrogenation of ethyl-benzene process.
