BTG Bioliquids is a technology provider for fast pyrolysis of biomass residues. To bring new operators quickly up to speed with their plant, BTG Bioliquids decided to invest in a high-fidelity Operator Training Simulator (OTS).

“The demand for a simulator arose from the concern that operator skills will decrease due to the implementation of a large amount of Advanced Process Control. This will only increase in the future. Therefore, Gunvor has taken the first step with the training of control room skills for Panel Operators. Mobatec developed a generic simulator of parts of the gasoline factory and emulated the DCS. This enables high quality operator training at multiple Gunvor plants at low costs.“

“Within 12 weeks we have received a working simulator of our Citect process control model for the new coke gas holder from Mobatec. This simulator was needed because after 40 years we get a new, larger, gas holder and we want to train the operators inside and in the field with this gas holder.“

MobaTAGnology has been applied to deliver hand valve positions to the control room with an overview panel provided in Mobatec Modeller.
